Candy Exhibitions?
Coming across this piece may have made me a little hungry for some sweets, but what a great idea? Who would have thought to have tried to recreate famous museums, architectural masterpieces and art galleries using sugar? Caitlin Levin and Henry Hargreaves came up with this idea and decided to create amazing replicas of the Guggenheim and the Louvre, among many others. It is such an interesting and fun way to get people interested in museums and other educational institutions. The pieces were made to display in an art gallery, as well. So the project was like a public history piece being displayed in yet another public history setting. As some would call it, a confectionery inception.
