J.D. Salinger in Archives
Recently, a documentary about J.D. Salinger was released in theaters. It was a very interesting piece that documented his life and times, as well as his writing of the Catcher and the Rye and the implications to arise because of that. At the end of the documentary it states that there is a vault of stories that Salinger wrote that will be released in 2015. This intrigued me a lot when I saw it, because I really enjoyed J.D. Salinger's writing in Catcher. So, I looked up any other short stories that may have been published and may be floundering out there somewhere. I found this article, that lays out not only what there is out there, but also where they are located. It describes what libraries or archives house them, as well as any rules that the institution has (i.e. restrictions to access or restrictions use). There are numerous letters, documents and even short stories available for the public to access.
