So apparently the University of Texas at Austin has a legitimate video game archive. Their mission state says that they seek to "preserve and protect the work of videogame developers, publishers and artists for use by a wide array of researchers." They have collected papers and games from a handful of the most famous game developers of their day. This includes Richard Garriott, who developed the Ultima series of games and Steve Jackson who has had his hands in all elements of the gaming world. I am happy to see that something as important to me as gaming is going to be preserved by professional hands.
