The American Museum of Natural History has done something interesting this holiday season. They combined two of their current exhibitions and promoted them by adding their elements to their giant Christmas tree. The Tree has more than 800 little figures that are made using origami folding techniques which were featured in an exhibition for children (and adults) about tree frogs. The origami figures on the tree are not just tree frogs, however, they are representations of many creatures, plants, and other poisonous materials from their "The Power of Poison"exhibition. Just an interesting, themed way to promote the range of a museum's exhibitions. ... I would have hated to be the one to make all those, though... It also makes me wonder if they used some of the tree frogs that patrons created.
