Colonial Williamsburg
To continue with the Christmas Tradition what would one of more commercially driven historic sites be without banking in on holiday spirit. Despite the negative attitude I actually do enjoy Colonial Williamsburg but it is mostly a profit based venture. This year they have traditions from the time period including Christmas Carols and tales of how the Tucker family introduced the Christmas Tree to Williamsburg in 1842. These types of shows are actually fairly easy to replicate and I know they are at other sites to some extents. Col. Will. does museum theater extremely well and other sites could learn a great deal and make very well put together toned down versions.
