"I want them to see what they have done."

Those are the famous words that Jackie Kennedy uttered when asked if she wanted to change out of her stunning pink suit that fateful day in 1963. Covered in blood and, to be frank, brain matter, Mrs. Kennedy continued to wear the evidence of what had happened to her husband throughout the rest of the day. Now, 50 years later, the world wonders what happened to that evidence.

The answer: it is locked away from public eyes and wont be seen for another 90 years. The suit is kept in the National Archives in Maryland and no one has been able to gain access to it since it was entered in 2003 by Caroline Kennedy. "The archive has the suit stored in a windowless vault, in an acid free container, where the air is changed three times an hour to properly maintain the wool and cloth. It is kept at a temperature of 65 to 68 degrees, which is best for the fabric."

The suit has never been cleaned.

In the words of President John F. Kennedy, she looked "smashing" in the suit, which may be why the President asked Jackie to wear the now-famous outfit to Dallas on November 22, 1963.
